Walker’s Latin Faculty and Dean of Educational Technology and Innovative Pedagogy Maureen Lamb has received the ACTFL/IALLT Award for Excellence in World Language Instruction Using Technology (K-12). The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages recognized Ms. Lamb for her outstanding contributions to the field of language education.
The ACTFL/IALLT Award for Excellence in World Language Instruction Using Technology (K-12) is presented annually to recognize excellence in the integration and use of technology in world language instruction at the K-12 level. It is the outgrowth of collaboration between ACTFL and the International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT). Recipients must show a technology-enhanced approach to language teaching, objectives, and specific strategies using technology that contribute to the attainment of the course goals within the framework of the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages.
We celebrate Ms. Lamb’s achievement and her contributions to The Ethel Walker School. Congratulations!
