Kyla Birk ’23 Skis to Second Place Finish

Kyla Birk ’23 joined her teammates in keeping Walker’s skiing on the podium this winter with her second place win in the U16 age group while competing on February 7 at Mount Southington in Southington, CT. There, Kyla found her success on a course set by Head Coach Gretchen Sonju who remarked about the race, “Kyla skied beautifully. She was fast and confident!” 

Kyla is a sophomore and a returning member of the varsity ski program at Walker’s. Walker’s skiing program will resume in-person team practices beginning the week of February 15.
