What was it about Walker’s that made you want to work here?

As a parent, I had the opportunity to experience all that Walker’s has to offer through my child’s journey here. Witnessing the vibrant community, the rich traditions, and the dedication to education firsthand gave me a deep appreciation for what makes Walker’s special. Now, as faculty, I am excited to be part of this remarkable environment and to understand even more profoundly why my child cherished her time here. It’s a privilege to contribute to a place that has had such a positive impact on our family.

What is the most rewarding part about working at Walker’s?

The most rewarding part of working here is undoubtedly the students. Witnessing their growth and development, especially when they surpass their own expectations, is truly magical. Seeing them become who they aspire to be and thrive in ways they once thought impossible is incredibly fulfilling.

What is your favorite part of the subject you teach now?

My favorite part of teaching Spanish is the opportunity to immerse students in a new language and culture, which opens up a world of possibilities for them. I love watching students gain confidence in their language skills and seeing their enthusiasm as they explore the diverse cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how learning a new language can broaden their perspectives and enhance their understanding of global connections. The ability to share this journey with students and witness their growth and excitement is what makes teaching Spanish so fulfilling for me.
