Game Summary

Ethel Walker fell to Wilbraham and Monson Academy in three sets on Wednesday, November 6th (13-25, 18-25, 14-25). Walker’s celebrated the four senior players: middle Val Lawson ‘25, middle/right side hitter Amber Furtado ‘25. libero/DS Naiya Sabbagh ‘25, and setter Paula Arevalo ‘25. Walker’s had some great blocks in the first set by Yihan Chen ‘27 and Amber Furtado ‘25, but was unable to come back after a strong serving run by WMA. In the second set, Walker’s had several great rallies with WMA, but unfortunately they did not end in Walker’s favor. In the last set, Walker’s saw some great digs by defensive specialist Naiya Sabbagh ‘25, but the team struggled in serve-receive.
