Ethel Walker won against Marianapolis Preparatory School in four sets on Wednesday, October 16th (15-25, 25-15, 25-10, 25-13). Walker’s was off to a strong start in the first set, but struggled in serve receive and was unable to close the gap. After a team talk, Walker’s came back strong in the remaining three sets. Maddie Stirt ‘27 and Naiya Sabbagh ‘25 both had 6 aces, while Amber Furtado ‘25 created a defensive wall with her blocks. Walker’s also had a strong offense, with almost every front row player scoring at least one kill. Overall, the Walker’s team really came together and showed how much of a powerhouse they could be!
