Game Summary

Ethel Walker fell to Miss Hall’s School in a tough five sets on Saturday, October 19th (25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 9-15). The game began with a short ceremony recognizing the victims and survivors of breast cancer and how important it is to raise awareness for this cause. Walker’s was led with 8 kills by right side hitter Liana Salamone ‘26. Walker’s took an early lead against Miss Hall’s in the first set, and despite a serving comeback by the opponent, they were able to earn a victory. The teams were neck-and-neck in the second set, with Miss Hall’s coming out ahead after Walker’s missed several key serves. Walker’s came back in the third set with strong serving runs by Yihan Chen ‘27 and Taelor Arnold ‘27. The team struggled in the fourth and fifth sets in serve-receive, and was unable to pull out the win.
