In our season opener on a sweltering Wednesday afternoon in Wallingford, Walker’s faced a formidable opponent in Choate Rosemary Hall. With Choate being an established Class A team, our players were up against significant experience and skill. Despite the heat, our team executed a solid game plan, showcasing resilience and tactical awareness.
The first half saw us hold Choate to a competitive 2-1 at half time. Our goal coming from Ella Schroeder ‘25 in the first quarter, the score reflecting our strong defensive efforts and strategic play. Though we eventually fell 3-1, the second half was a testament to our defensive improvements, as we kept Choate from adding to their tally.
Quinn F. ‘29 was our standout player, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination throughout the match. Her performance was a beacon of our potential and heart. As we build our program, this game marks a promising start, showing that with each challenge, we’re moving closer to our goals.
