Walker’s defeated Westover and MacDuffie this afternoon for Senior Day. The Wildcats celebrated their two seniors, Allison Wall and Tapiwa Cronin. Allison is celebrated as a two-time co-captain, four-year member of the program, three-year varsity team member and NEPSAC qualifier, and overall generous teammate. Tapiwa joined Walker’s as a PG just this fall, and it is her first season on the team, but didn’t hesitate to make a splash as she recently qualified for NEPSAC’s and will join the varsity team in the final meet of the season in March. Both have contributed greatly in their time on the team and will be missed!
The meet had several PRs, Top 10 times and of course, great energy and decorations. The swimmer of the meet is Emily Wang who has dropped about 30 seconds since the beginning of the season in her 100 freestyle! Congratulations on your PR, Emily!
Following this meet, some of the team will begin to taper for the Founders League Championship held at Hotchkiss on February 26. Others will continue training as their last meet of the season is scheduled in West Hartford at Cornerstone Aquatics on March 5.
