Walker’s had an incredibly successful meet on Saturday, February 12, hosting three teams and winning first place in 8 of the 11 events. Sweeping all three teams, with two official wins, there were several great events that were big point-winners for Walker’s, including early on the 50 freestyle, coming in 2nd (Lucia Morales ‘25) and 3rd (Alexia Grech ‘23) overall. Near the end of the meet, Walker’s Amelia Peterson ‘22 also broke the school record in her second back-to-back meet. This time, by .01, touching for first place with a time of 1:01.95. Walker’s had a dozen PR’s on the day, including Ella Sabelawski’s 500 freestyle, breaking 7:00 for the first time. Kylie Donaldson ‘23 also saw improvement in her 100 backstroke, where she sits as third- fastest all-time at Walker’s. She also moved up the ranks to 6th all-time in the 100 freestyle.
Emily Wang swam the 100 breaststroke for the first time! Molly Thacker ‘24 and teammate Catalina Dotson ‘27 also earned PR’s in the 200 IM, with Molly nearly qualifying for New Englands. Liyan Du went a best split in her 400 freestyle relay.

The swimmer of the meet was co-captain Alexia Grech ‘23 who earned two PR’s in her freestyle sprint events, including her leadoff of the 400 freestyle B relay.
