Soccer (Middle School)
vs. Grace Academy

In the final game of an awesome season, the Middle School Soccer team was able to earn a 2-1 win! With energy and excitement Walker’s played a fun game against the Grace Academy team.

Walker’s quickly found their footing in the opening minutes after being caught off guard by the speed of the Grace players. The team worked hard to stop the Grace offense, clearing balls outside. The teams traded plays up their respective halves throughout the first half. In the final minutes of the first half Avalon found herself with the ball at the top of the box… and in typical Avalon fashion, was able to score on a beautiful shot past the Grace goalkeeper.

Up 1-0, and in dwindling daylight Walker’s conceded a goal in the second half. The game stayed 1-1 until the final minutes of the game when Walker’s got the ball up the field and worked hard to get multiple ricocheting shots off of Grace defenders. Finally, the ball fell to Ellie in the middle of the box. With no defender in front of her Ellie took a shot, hitting the ball over the goalie and into the back of the net to put Walker’s up 2-1 in the final moments of the game.

Everyone played super hard today and this was an excellent end to a great season with this group!
