“I came to Walker’s when I was in 8th Grade. I think being a Cicerone is important because I get to know more families from different places that are willing coming to Walker’s and share my experiences with them. I would like to show prospective families various activities and chances for girls here on campus, and how people are always supporting, understanding, and caring for each other like a big family.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite classes are French and Choir. For French, our classes were always fun and everyone gets the chance to show themselves by answering questions and reading texts without any worries. For Choir, it is always a fun class full of laughs, and I get to sing a lot.

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

I would have never thought I could do ballet one day and now I am able to follow along in Dance Workshop ballet classes. I had only done jazz, hip-hop and K-pop dance before I came here, and ballet is so different from those.

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

I like going to dance after school because it makes me feel relaxed being in the dance studio and with my teammates.

What is your favorite part about being a boarder?

I have gotten close to other boarders that are not from my grade by hanging out with them at night in the dorm.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Be relaxed and try whatever you want to try.

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s?

I have gotten a lot of support from my friends and teachers, which has helped me gain confidence.

How do you feel you have grown (academically, emotionally, mentally) since your first day at Walker’s?

Academically, my English has become much better than the first day I came here because of the help from my classmates and teachers. I feel more confident and outgoing.
