“When I entered Walker’s in ninth grade, I knew early on that I wanted to be a Cicerone. I remembered how helpful it was to have someone to answer questions and tell me all about life at Walker’s. After watching and hearing about my Cicerone peers and their responsibilities, I realized I would be a good fit for that position. As a Cicerone, my goal is to make every prospective student feel welcome and give them an accurate and clear understanding of what they can do at Walker’s.”

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of my day at Walker’s is breakfast. My friend and I eat together every morning and it helps motivate me to get ready for school on time. Then, I start out in a good mood which carries on to the rest of my day.

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s?

One huge benefit of attending Walker’s is the community. From my first day, I have felt supported by all my teachers and peers. Everyone is friendly and I always feel like I belong when I am at school.

How do you feel you have grown (academically, emotionally, mentally) since your first day at Walker’s?

Since I started at Walker’s, I have gained confidence in myself and my academic skills. At the beginning of freshman year, I was shy and believed that I could not write well or do well in math. But now, I have made many friends and can open up to new people. I also have realized that I am pretty good writer and have a new interest in math.
