Walker’s equestrian Caleigh Thompson ’16 earned a coveted spot in the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Maclay National Finals, one of the most prestigious shows for the top junior riders in the country. Caleigh placed 17th out of the 63 riders who qualified for the Zone 1 ASPCA Maclay Regionals on September 22 at the Fairfield County Hunt Club, earning her a spot in the finals.
“This is by far my biggest accomplishment on this horse, and I am hoping that this will open doors and lead me into many more accomplishments in the near future,” says Caleigh.
The historic ASPCA Maclay Finals will be held October 29-November 3 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
Congratulations and best of luck, Caleigh!
