Class Correspondents are responsible for letting the Walker’s community know yearly what you and your classmates have been up to. Correspondents are responsible for cultivating and writing the excerpts found in the “Take Note” section of the Sundial Magazines.

Class agents assist the Advancement staff with fundraising initiatives by engaging members of your class with making gifts to the School. This may include written correspondence, either via email or postal mail, as well as phone calls. Reunion Class Agents are specifically involved in helping to secure gifts to Walker’s in honor of Reunion.

Admission volunteers assist the Admission staff with recruiting initiatives by either hosting or attending admission events near your home or place of business or reaching out to prospective families with a phone call or email. Details of admission events are arranged by partnering with Admission and Advancement staff. Guests include prospective families, current parents and students, Walker’s administrators, Walker’s board members and alumnae.

Alumnae often volunteer to host events in their homes or places of business in an effort to spread the news about the Walker’s community. Guests are typically invited from the local area and can include prospective families, current parents and students, alumnae, board members, Walker’s administrators and friends of the school. Details on events are arranged with the assistance of Advancement staff. Alumnae Board members are volunteers for the School who are nominated to serve in this role. Nominations are carefully reviewed to ensure that candidates have both the time and the treasure to make a commitment to Walker’s to serve in this role. While many of the monthly Alumnae Board meetings are conference calls, Alumnae Board members are required to visit campus for two meetings each year, attend Reunion, and attend Commencement exercises.
